THE CENTER WAS OPEN 350 DAYS OF THE YEAR. OVER 60 EXTENDED LEARNING CLASSES INCLUDING HISTORY, ART, CREATIVE WRITING, POETRY, YOGA AND TAI CHI WERE OFFERED. DAILY GAMES WERE OFFERED SUCH AS PINOCHLE, SCRABBLE, MEXICAN TRAIN, POOL, DARTS, WII BOWLING, AND BRIDGE. HEALTH AND WELLNESS SERVICES TOOK PLACE WEEKLY IN THE FORM OF BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS, MASSAGE THERAPY, FOOT CARE, AND SEMINARS ON WELLNESS. SENIOR NUTRITION INCLUDED DAILY MEALS FROM GREATER SPOKANE COUNTY MEALS ON WHEELS, ETHNIC LUNCHES, POTLUCKS AND CELEBRITY CHEF LUNCHES. OTHER ACTIVITIES WERE OFFERED INCLUDING SEMINARS, BOOK CLUB, HIKERS, AARP DRIVER'S TRAINING, STRETCH & TONE, AND MINSTRELS.ALSO DURING THE YEAR, THE CENTER HOLDS DAY TRIPS TO VENUES OR SIGHTS WITHIN A 150 MILE RADIUS OF SPOKANE, WA.
THE CENTER COORDINATES MANY LONG TOURS FOR INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING SENIOR CITIZENS. THE LONG TOURS LAST AT LEAST OVERNIGHT AND GENERALLY PROVIDE A SUBSTANTIAL SOURCE OF INCOME TOWARDS OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE CENTER.
