THE SENIOR CITIZEN CENTRAL CENTER PROVIDES MEAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR ALL MEMBERS. THE CENTER SERVES MEALS A MINIMUM OF TWICE A WEEK, TYPICALLY AROUND 12,480 MEALS PER YEAR. THEY ALSO HAVE RECREATIONAL AND HEALTH RELATED ACTIVITIES THREE TO FOUR TIMES A WEEK, TYPICALLY AROUND 208 EVENTS A YEAR. THE CENTER PROVIDES A LOCATION FOR AARP TAX SERVICE FOR THE ELDERLY DURING THE TAX SEASON. THE CENTER ALSO PROVIDES FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO APPROXIMATELY 25 LOCAL PUBLIC SERVICE CHARITIES, SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS, AND OTHER NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. IN APRIL 2024 OMAK SENIOR CITIZENS CO-SPONSORED WITH EDWARD JONES, A SENIOR SYMPOSIUM TO SERVE THE PEOPLE OF OKANOGAN COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS.
