THE FOUNDATION BUILDS ON THE WORK OF ENERGY FUTURES INITIATIVE (EFI), ESTABLISHED BY ERNEST J. MONIZ, THE 13TH U.S. SECRETARY OF ENERGY. BY CONVENING POLICYMAKERS, SCIENTISTS, LABOR AND INDUSTRY LEADERS, THE EFI FOUNDATION IDENTIFIES PATHWAYS TO INCREASE ENERGY SECURITY, DECARBONIZE THE ECONOMY AND CREATE NEW JOBS. THE FOUNDATION ADHERES TO THE PRINCIPLE OF ANALYTICAL INDEPENDENCE. ALL EFI FOUNDATION REPORTS, AS WELL AS THE LEGACY WORK OF THE ENERGY FUTURES INITIATIVE, ARE AVAILABLE AT WWW.EFIFOUNDATION.ORG. THE FOUNDATION BEGAN ITS NEW WORK IN EARNEST IN 2022, AND CONSEQUENTLY IT WAS A YEAR OF FORMATION AND INITIATION. THE FOUNDATION LAUNCHED A NEW INITIATIVE, THE ENERGY FUTURES FINANCE FORUM, A NOVEL EFFORT TO IDENTIFY POLICIES AND MEASURES TO EXPAND THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN CLEAN ENERGY TO A BROADER CROSS-SECTION OF THE INVESTOR COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION LAUNCHED A NEW STUDY INITIATIVE TO EXAMINE OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE THE EFFECTIVENESS, EFFICIENCY AND AGILITY OF FEDERALLY FUNDED ENERGY INNOVATION PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS.
