ACROSS THE COUNTRY A GROWING NUMBER OF CITIES HAVE BEEN CREATING VILLAGES OF TINY PREFAB HOUSES (64 OR 100 SQ FT) TO RAPIDLY HOUSE HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. IN ADDITION TO RAPID HOUSING, BY CLUSTERING HOMELESS PEOPLE WITH CONDITIONS SUCH AS MENTAL ILLNESS AND ADDICTION, APPROPRIATE SERVICES CAN BE EFFICIENTLY PROVIDED FOR THESE CONDITIONS AS WELL AS JOB TRAINING AND PLACEMENT.THE HOMING PROJECT WILL BE A SECURE COMMUNITY OF 30 MICRO HOMES ON A GATED PROPERTY WITH 24 HOUR SECURITY. EACH LOCKING HOME WILL PROVIDE A BED, STORAGE SPACE, HEATING/AC, LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL OUTLETS. TO POWER THE FACILITY, WE WILL BE USING SOLAR POWER.WE WILL PROVIDE BANKS OF COMMUNAL ONSITE RESTROOMS WITH SHOWERS FOR INDIVIDUAL USE BY RESIDENTS AS WELL AS ONSITE LAUNDRY FACILITIES. THREE MEALS WILL BE SERVED DAILY IN THE COMMON ROOM/DINING FACILITY. MEDICAL, DENTAL, MENTAL HEALTH, SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING AND SERVICES, AND VOCATIONAL AID (INCLUDING TRAINING, PROCUREMENT, RESUME AID, ETC.) WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED ON SITE. STANDARD INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES FOR CONGREGATE LIVING WILL BE EMPLOYED, INCLUDING VACCINATION FOR COVID-19 FOR ALL RESIDENTS, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS.
