SCHOOL SESSIONS - INCLUSIVE APPLIED IMPROVISATION WORKSHOPS THAT FOCUS ON SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING FOR YOUTH WHO ARE NEURODIVERGENT, AND/OR LIVE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. THESE WORKSHOPS TAKE PLACE IN PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SCHOOLS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY OR AS AN AFTERSCHOOL ACTIVITY. THE WORKSHOPS INCORPORATE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EDUCATORS AS A PART OF THE PROGRAMMING.
CAMP MNPROV - A FREE WEEK-LONG PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR EDUCATORS TO LEARN HOW TO USE APPLIED IMPROVISATION GAMES WITH STUDENTS TO SUPPORT STUDENTS' SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND STRENGTHEN THEIR MENTAL WELLNESS. THIS WEEK-LONG WORKSHOP SERVES 10 EDUCATORS AND 10 STUDENTS. EDUCATORS SPEND THE FIRST PART OF EACH DAY WITH MNPROV INSTRUCTORS EXPERIENCING THE IMPROV GAMES AND LEARNING HOW THESE GAMES SUPPORT SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING SKILLS. THEN TEN STUDENTS JOIN THE EDUCATORS AND MNPROV INSTRUCTORS FOR AN IMPROV WORKSHOP, WHILE EDUCATORS ARE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE HOW THE GAMES ARE USED WITH STUDENTS. AT THE END OF EACH DAY, EDUCATORS MEET ALONE WITH THE MNPROV INSTRUCTORS TO DEBRIEF AND ASK QUESTIONS.
