MAILING - MARYLAND RISE SENT OUT A MAILER THAT SUPPORTED THE FAIR FUNDING COALITION. IT PROVIDED AN OVERVIEW OF HOW TO HOLD DIGITAL ADVERTISERS ACCOUNTABLE FOR HOW THEY PROFIT FROM OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND ASKED SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS TO CONTACT LEGISLATORS.
ADVERTISING - WE RAN EDUCATIONAL ADS ON PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE FOR A WEEK DURING MARYLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY'S SPECIAL SESSION. WE ALSO HAD DIGITAL MATERIAL CREATED TO BE SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA INCLUDING BANNERS THAT READ 'MARYLANDERS NEED PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE AND AN INFORMATIONAL VIDEO THAT PROVIDED AN OVERVIEW OF PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE. T-SHIRTS, STICKERS, AND A BANNER THAT WERE ALSO PURCHASED TO SUPPORT THE CAMPAIGN TO PASS PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE LEGISLATION. MARYLAND RISE ALSO PURCHASED ADS AT EVENTS AS WELL.
POLLING - MARYLAND RISE CONDUCTED TWO POLLS. THE FIRST WAS A STATEWIDE POLL CONDUCTED BOTH ONLINE AND BY TELEPHONE OF 1,011 MARYLAND REGISTERED VOTERS TO ASSESS PUBLIC OPINION ON A LEGISLATIVE PROPOSAL TO CREATE A PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE INSURANCE PROGRAM. THE SECOND SURVEYED MARYLAND LIKELY VOTERS FOR 2022, STATEWIDE, 600 COMPLETETELEPHONE INTERVIEWS AVERAGE 15 MINS IN LENGTH.
