MARCH ON FOUNDATION EXISTS TO INCREASE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, CHAMPION FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS, AND AMPLIFY THE VOICES OF THE UNDERREPRESENTED, MARGINALIZED, AND OPPRESSED IN ORDER TO EMPOWER AND SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITIES.

OUR FISCAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM WITH MARCH ON, FISCAL INCUBATOR, HAS CONTINUED TO SERVE YOUTH-LED AND GRASSROOT GROUPS. THIS NATIONAL PROGRAM PROVIDES THE FISCAL PROJECTS WITH THE PROFESSIONAL TOOLS, SKILLS, AND RELATIONSHIPS NEEDED TO RUN SUCCESSFUL, LEAN ORGANIZATIONS. IN 2022 WE SUPPORTED 21 ORGANIZATIONS WORKING AT THE INTERSECTION OF IMPACT AREAS LIKE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND SOCIAL JUSTICE; MANY ARE ALSO CLIMATE-RELATED. THE MAJORITY OF ORGANIZATIONS ARE LED BY HISTORICALLY UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS.IN MARYLAND, WE HAVE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT AND AMPLIFY THE WORK OF LOCAL GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS. WE HAVE UPHELD OUR REPUTATION IN THE COMMUNITY AS COMMITTED PARTNERS THROUGH CO-SPONSORING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. OUR COVID RAPID-RESPONSE PROJECTS CONTINUED TO WIND DOWN IN 2022 AS OUR COMMUNITIES MADE PROGRESS TOWARDS RECOVERY FROM THE PANDEMIC. TO BETTER SUPPORT OUR WORK TO AMPLIFY THE VOICES OF THE UNDERREPRESENTED, MARGINALIZED, AND OPPRESSED, WE LAUNCHED OUR STORYTELLING BLOG FEATURING GUEST WRITERS. WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH MAE FELLOWSHIP ON A CONVERSATION SERIES CALLED THIS SEASON. OUR TWO VIRTUAL PANELS ON BOOK BANS FEATURED STUDENT AND GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS. BOTH EVENTS WERE LIVESTREAMED WITH OVER 14K VIEWS COLLECTIVELY.
