IN 2020-21, CEASEFIREPA EDUCATION FUND CONTINUED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC, ENGAGE PARTNERS, AND WORK WITH CITIZENS TO ADDRESS RISING GUN VIOLENCE. THE ORGANIZATION BUILT NEW COALITIONS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAMS, HELPING INCREASE ACCESS TO NEW GRANT PROGRAMS AT THE LOCAL AND STATE LEVEL FOR SUCH EFFORTS. RESEARCH AND WORKING WITH SURVIVORS HELPED DECISION-MAKERS UNDERSTAND HOW THE PANDEMIC INCREASED GUN VIOLENCE TO HIGHER LEVELS IN PLACES LIKE PITTSBURGH AND YORK.
