CIVIC EDUCATION: FREEDOMS FOUNDATION OFFERS EDUCATION PROGRAMS TARGETING PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. IN 2022, SIXTEEN PROGRAMS FOR 732 PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FOCUSED ON THE FOUNDING OF THE COUNTRY AND ESTABLISHING DEEPLY PERSONAL CONNECTIONS TO HISTORY. FIFTEEN PROGRAMS FOR 614 HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS FOCUSED ON CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY, AMERICAN HISTORY, AND THE FOUNDING DOCUMENTS. IN 2022, PROGRAMS WERE HELD IN PERSON ON OUR 72-ACRE CAMPUS AND INCLUDED NEARLY 30,000 HOURS OF STUDENT INSTRUCTION IN CIVIC EDUCATION.(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)FREEDOMS FOUNDATION ALSO OFFERS EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS. IN 2022, 12 PROGRAMS PROVIDED HISTORY AND CIVIC CONTENT BY EXPOSING 289 TEACHERS TO EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS AND THINKERS IN PROGRAMS ON THE CONSTITUTION, AMERICAN HISTORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND AMERICAN VALUES TOTALING 10,000 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION. WITH TEACHERS AVERAGING 100 STUDENTS IN A SINGLE SCHOOL YEAR, THIS MEANS MORE THAN 28,900 STUDENTS WERE OR WILL BE IMPACTED BY FREEDOMS FOUNDATION IN THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR.
HONORING ACTS OF CIVIC VIRTUE: THROUGH ITS NATIONAL AWARDS PROGRAM, FREEDOMS FOUNDATION RECOGNIZED 71 INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS IN 2022 AS EXAMPLES OF CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY. THIS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES ADULTS AND STUDENTS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE, PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS, STUDENT ESSAYS, SPECIAL EVENTS, AND OUTSTANDING WORK IN THE CLASSROOM.
