NON-PARTISAN ADVOCACY: IN 2021, SCAN'S TARGETED STRATEGY WHICH INCLUDES A FOCUSED PUBLIC POLICY AGENDA, GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION AND EDUCATION CAMPAIGN AND RESEARCH-BASED COMMUNICATIONS, ELEVATED THE ISSUES OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION & CHILD CARE, CHILD HUNGER & FOOD INSECURITY, THE MIGRATION CRISIS AT THE U.S.-MEXICO BORDER, AND IN SUPPORT OF EDUCATION OF CHILDREN GLOBALLY WITH ITS DEDICATED GROUP OF ACTIVISTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
ELECTORAL: SCAN'S ELECTORAL ACTIVITY IN 2021 CONSISTED OF NONPARTISAN VOTER AND CANDIDATE ENGAGEMENT IN THE VIRGINIA ELECTION. THE MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS WERE IN SECURING MORE CHILD CARE FUNDING, STRONGER PROGRAMS TO COMBAT CHILD HUNGER, AND HUMANITARIAN POLICIES TOWARD CHILD MIGRANTS ARRIVING AT OUR SOUTHERN BORDER.
