NOMINATIONS: ISSUE ADVOCACY AND ADVERTISING IN SUPPORT OF FEDERAL EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS IN 2021, INCLUDING SUPPORTING THE COORDINATION OF A COALITION OF ORGANIZATIONS TO UNDERTAKE MEDIA, CONGRESSIONAL, AND PUBLIC OUTREACH INITIATIVES.
COMMUNICATIONS: AN INFORMED PUBLIC IS NOT ONLY NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS, BUT ALSO TO MAKE SURE THOSE RIGHTS ENDURE. THROUGH CREATING TRAINING AND TOOLS, WE ARE ABLE TO BUILD A COUNTRY THAT ACTIVELY EMBRACES COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE. WE DO THIS BY DISSEMINATING UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION ON CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES. BY ACTIVATING THE POWER OF THE COALITION, THE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AND OUR PARTNERS CAN SHARE INNOVATIVE RESEARCH AND INFORMATION AROUND THE COUNTRY - AND ULTIMATELY, SHIFT THE NARRATIVE ON CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS.
VOTING RIGHTS: AT THE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, WE ARE WORKING TO MODERNIZE ELECTIONS AND BUILD A 21ST CENTURY DEMOCRACY. A DEMOCRACY WHERE ALL OF OUR VOICES ARE HEARD. WITH OUR COALITION PARTNERS, WE INFORM THE PUBLIC, DECISION-MAKERS, AND THE MEDIA ABOUT BARRIERS TO VOTING AND ADVOCATE FOR POLICIES THAT EXPAND THE RIGHT TO VOTE, ESPECIALLY IN COMMUNITIES OF COLOR. VOTING, AND THE ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN DEMOCRACY, IS A RACIAL JUSTICE ISSUE. IT IS A CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE. AND WE ARE OVERDUE FOR A CHANGE.
