BORDER KINDNESS PROVIDED FOOD, CLOTHING AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH COVID, AND/OR PANDEMIC RELATED EMERGNECIES.
THE BORDER KINDNESS HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER PROVIDES FREE, HIGH-QUALITY MEDICAL SERVICES TO ANYONE IN NEED IN MEXICALI, MEXICO. THE CENTER IS THE FIRST STATE-OF-THE-ART INTEGRATIVE HEALTH CLINIC ON THE BORDER ESTABLISHED TO MEET THE UNIQUE HEALTH NEEDS OF ASYLUM-SEEKERS AND VULNERABLE LOCAL POPULATIONS. IN 2021 BORDER KINDNESS HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER CONTINUED TO PROVIDE FREE COVID CARE, PPE, MEDICATIONS AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO ANY INDIVIDUALS NEEDING SUCH!! BORDER KINDNESS' HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER IS MANAGED AND STAFFED EXCLUSIVELY BY FEMALE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. BORDER KINDNESS HAS PROVIDED MEDICAL CARE TO MORE THAN 10,000 PEOPLE, MORE THAN 80% OF WHOM ARE WOMEN AND CHILDREN. THE CENTER PROVIDES SAFE, DIGNIFIED, AND CONFIDENTIAL CARE TO WOMEN AND GIRLS, INCLUDING COMPREHENSIVE WOMEN'S HEALTH SERVICES THAT INCLUDE PRE- AND POSTNATAL CARE, PREGNANCY TESTING, AND ONSITE ULTRASOUND IMAGING.
BORDER KINDNESS BELIEVES ACCESS TO A QUALITY EDUCATION IS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT OF EVERY HUMAN. THE BORDER KINDNESS CHILDREN'S EMPOWERMENT CENTER PROVIDES CLASSES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO LEARN TO CODE, EMBRACE STEM, AND GAIN 21ST-CENTURY SKILLS, AS WELL AS LEARN ABOUT NUTRITION, EMPATHY, COMMUNICATION, ENGLISH, AND MORE. THE CENTER IS MANAGED AND STAFFED EXCLUSIVELY BY WOMEN FROM MEXICALI AND OFTEN HOSTS GUEST SPEAKERS/INSTRUCTORS FOR PROGRAMS FOR TEENS AND TWEENS, INCLUDING SPECIAL EVENTS TO INSPIRE AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN.
