Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
GROWTH: SINCE THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC LAUNCH OF WPA IN SEPTEMBER, WE HAVE SEEN OUR MEMBERSHIP GROW EXPONENTIALLY TO 320 PATIENT MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS IN OVER 108 COUNTRIES, REPRESENTING ALL DISEASE AREAS. OUR MEMBERSHIP OF PATIENT GROUPS HAS INCREASED THE ORGANIZATION'S FOOTPRINT IN THE INTERNATIONAL PATIENT GROUP ARENA. WE USE SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAIL TO COMMUNICATE WITH BOTH THE PATIENT COMMUNITY AT LARGE AND TO OUR MEMBER GROUPS. HAVING PATIENT GROUPS IN ALL REGIONS OF THE WORLD MAKES THE ORGANIZATION MUCH STRONGER IN THE POLICY ARENA AND WHEN ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF THE PATIENT COMMUNITY. AS A RESULT OF INCREASING OUR MEMBERSHIP, WE HAVE GAINED MORE CREDIBILITY WITH POTENTIAL FUNDERS AS WELL AS POLICY MAKERS AROUND THE GLOBE.
ADVOCACY: THE WPA IS A LEADER IN THE INTERNATIONAL POLICY ARENA, REPRESENTING THE PATIENTS AROUND THE WORLD. THE WPA INVESTS SUBSTANTIAL TIME PRESENTING THE PATIENT PERSPECTIVE TO REGULATORS, POLICY MAKERS AND OTHER RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING WHO, EU AND OTHER GOVERNING BODIES.
EDUCATION: WE HAVE CONTINUED OUR WEBINAR SERIES FOR EDUCATING PATIENTS COMMUNITY FOR COVID-19 VACCINES, RESPONSES AND ACTION PLANS. WPA DRAFTED A SURVEY FOR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS TO KNOW WHAT THEY WANT FROM US. ALL THESE PROGRAMS AND SURVEYS CAN BE FOUND AT WWW.WORLDPATIENTSALLIANCE.ORG. FURTHER, THE WPA ATTENDS CONFERENCES WHERE WE FREQUENTLY ARE ALSO INVITED TO SPEAK, PRESENT OR OTHERWISE EDUCATE THE PATIENT ADVOCATE COMMUNITY. MOREOVER, WPA ALSO RAN AN ACTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN TO SPREAD COVID RELATED EDUCATION INCLUDING WPA'S POSITION STATEMENT ON COVID TO PATINETS AND ORGANZATIONS AROUND THE WORLD.
