THE MISSION OF SIX POINTS IS TO ENHANCE THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE WE SERVE SO THEY MAY REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL. THE PURPOSE OF SIX POINTS IS TO PROVIDE ADVOCACY, ASSISTANCE, COMMUNITY, EDUCATION, INTEGRATION AND TRAINING TO THE PEOPLE WE SERVE IN GUNNISON AND HINSDALE COUNTIES OF COLORADO TO ENHANCE THEIR WELL-BEING, PERSONAL DIGNITY, INDEPENDENCE AND VOCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.

THE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES PROGRAM INCLUDES RESIDENTIAL SERVICES THAT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES BY PROVIDING THEM WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE A RESIDENTIAL LIVING EXPERIENCE, APART FROM AN INSTITUTION, AND TO BE INTEGRATED INTO THE COMMUNITY. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH HOUSING, COOKING, CLEANING, BUDGETING, HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT, MEDICAL NEEDS MANAGEMENT, AND TRANSPORTATION. VOCATIONAL SERVICES ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH JOBS IN THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS PROVIDING JOB TRAINING AND COACHING.
