COVID-19 PROGRAM: PRODUCED 24 ANIMATED VIDEOS FOCUSED ON PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19. PROVIDED ECONOMIC RELIEF AND TRAINING TO 400 FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY. DISTRIBUTED 59,000 MASKS IN WASHINGTON STATE.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS: CONDUCTED 8 IN-PERSON TRAININGS AROUND WASHINGTON STATE, AS WELL AS 5 VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS, FOCUSING ON PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING PERSONAL ANDENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE TO PESTICIDES, MINIMIZING PESTICIDE WASTE DURING APPLICATION, AND LEARNING HOW TO RESPOND TO PESTICIDE EXPOSURE. THERE WERE 100 DOWNLOADS OF THE PESTISOL APP THAT WAS DEVELOPED TO COMPLIMENT THE IN-PERSON TRAININGS. PRODUCED 18 EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS INCLUDING VIDEOS AND HANDOUTS.
SOCIAL JUSTICE & HEALTH EQUITY: TRANSPORTATION IS A STRUCTURAL BARRIER FACED BY MANY MIGRANTS AND REFUGEE TO GET THE COVID-19 VACCINE. THEREFORE, CHWCMR IS WORKING WITH LISC TO PROVIDE AN UBER RIDE TO GET VACCINATED. HELPED TO PROVIDE ITINS FOR COMMUNITY HELP WORKERS. LEAD THE WAY IN ENSURING THAT CHWS ARE PAID FOR ALL THAT THEY DO IN THE COMMUNITY.
