THE MISSION OF THE HOSPICE FOUNDATION FOR JEFFERSON HEALTHCARE IS TO EDUCATE OUR COMMUNITIES ABOUT THE VALUE AND BENEFITS OF HOSPICE SERVICES AND TO RAISE FRIENDS AND FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF END-OF-LIFE SERVICES PROVIDED BY HOSPICE OF JEFFERSON HEALTHCARE. WE PROVIDE FUNDS TO HOSPICE OF JEFFERSON HEALTHCARE TO PROVIDE SERVICES NOT COVERED BY MEDICARE OR PRIVATE INSURANCE SUCH AS COMFORT AND CARE FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES, AND BEREAVEMENT SERVICES.REIMBURSED HOSPICE OF JEFFERSON HEALTHCARE FOR EXPENSES INCURRED PROVIDING COMFORT AND CARE SERVICES TO HOSPICE PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THESE SERVICES ARE NOT COVERED BY MEDICARE OF PRIVATE INSURANCE COMPANIES.SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE: MASSAGE, BEAUTICIAN, MUSIC THERAPY AND REIKI THERAPY. BEREAVEMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE: GRIEF EDUCATION WORKSHOPS, DROP-IN SESSIONS, SHORT-TERM INDIVIDUAL GRIEF COUNSELING AND AN ANNUAL COMMUNITY MEMORIAL SERVICE.
