SOMOS ACCION'S MISSION IS TO BUILD A COMMUNITY THAT DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE BASED ON THEIR NATIONAL ORIGIN, THAT INSTITUTES HUMANE MIGRATION POLICIES, AND THAT PROTECTS THE RIGHTS OF EVERYONE. SOMOS ACCION INTENDS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION BY ADVOCATING FOR POLICIES THAT PROMOTE THE COMMON GOOD AND WELFARE, SUCH AS CIVIL RIGHTS, EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS, VOTING RIGHTS, AND THE ECONOMY AND JOBS.

SOMOS ACCION LOBBIES ON ISSUES AND POLICIES THAT IMPACT THE COMMON GOOD AND WELFARE OF LOW-INCOME IMMIGRANTS, WORKERS, AND VOTERS. VOTER EDUCATION: SOMOS ACCION RAISES ISSUE AWARENESS AMONG VOTERS BY PROVIDING INFORMATION ON BALLOT INITIATIVES, LEGISLATION, VOTING RECORDS OF ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND CANDIDATE PLATFORMS REGARDING EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS, CIVIL RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS, VOTING PROTECTIONS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND JOBS.
