THE NORTH SOUND ACCOUNTABLE COMMUNITY OF HEALTH IS A CRITICAL PARTNER WITH THE HEALTH CARE AUTHORITY IN THE APPROVED MEDICAID TRANSFORMATION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT, FOCUSED ON IMPROVING HEALTH FOR PEOPLE ON MEDICAID ACROSS THE STATE. REQUIRED FOCUS AREAS INCLUDE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, PRIMARY CARE INTEGRATION, OPIOIDS, CARE COORDINATION AND OTHERS. ONE OF OUR FIRST TASKS IS TO UNDERSTAND THE HEALTH NEEDS ACROSS THE REGION AND TO MAP THE ASSETS IDENTIFYING WHO IS DOING GOOD WORK THAT WE SHOULD SPREAD AND GROW.
IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, NORTH SOUND ACH HAS EXTENDED THEIR FOCUS TO INCLUDE REGIONALIZING RESOURCES AND REQUESTS FOR ORGANIZATIONAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, VACCINE CLINICS, TESTING SUPPLIES, PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, AND COVID CARE KITS.
