THE FOOD INNOVATION NETWORK (FIN) ENHANCES THE LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM AND INCREASES ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD. IN 2021, FIN INCUBATED 13 LOW-INCOME ENTREPRENEURS, OPERATED A FARMERS MARKET, AND PROVIDED MORE THAN 3,100 HOT MEALS TO FOOD INSECURE HOUSEHOLDS.
G2L'S COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM DELIVERS CULTURALLY AND LINGUISTICALLY APPROPRIATE HEALTH EDUCATION, HEALTH COACHING, SOCIAL SUPPORT, AND INFORMATION AND REFERAL SERVICES. THIS PROGRAM SERVED 1,400 CLIENTS IN 2021.
G2L'S EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND INNOVATION PROGRAM EXPLORES INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO ADVANCING HEALTH EQUITY IN THE UNITED STATES, PRIMARILY THROUGH ADAPTING AND TESTING MODELS THAT WERE SUCCESSFUL IN LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES.
G2L'S HEALTHY COMMUNITIES PROGRAM LIFTS UP COMMUNITY VOICES TO ADVANCE COMMUNITY-DIVEN SOLUTIONS TO HEALTH AND SOCIAL DISPARITIES. IN 2021 THIS PROGRAM ENGAGED 214 COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS TO INCREASE COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP, ADVOCATE FOR SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND ADVANCE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES.
