DPHN HAS PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SCHOOL IMMUNIZATION LAW,EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, INFECTIONS DISEASE INVESTIGATION AND PUBLIC HEALTH MODERNIZATION. IN JULY 2020 - JUNE 2021 DPHN COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: MODERNIZATION - CONTINUE TO WORK ON HEALTH EQUITY AND CULTURAL RESPONSIVENESS, PARTICIPATING WITH LOCAL, REGIONAL AND STATE PARTNERS ON WORKGROUPS AND PROJECTS SUCH AS UMPQUA HEALTH ALLIANCE'S HEALTH EQUITY WORKGROUP. WORK TO ADDRESS CHILDREN'S COMPLEX HEALTH ISSUES CONTINUES AND INCLUDES THE GALVANIZING EFFORTS FOR HEALTH COMPLEX CHILDREN, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY AND LOCAL PARTNERS. EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & REPOSNSE - CONTINUE TO WORK WITH THE REGIONAL AND LOCAL HEALTHCARE COALITIONS TO PREPARE FOR AND RESPOND TO LARGE SCALE HEALTH EMERGENCIES. THE PHEPR RESPONSE INCLUDES THE COVID-19 RESPONSE, CONDUCTING SEVERAL DRIVE-THROUGH COVID TESTING AND VACCINATION EVENTS FOR THEVCOMMUNITY, AND RESPONSE TO MULTIPLE WILDLAND FIRES. COMMUNICABLE DISEASE - CONTINUE TO FOCUS MAINLY ON THE PANDEMIC RESPONSE WITH ALL STAFF MEMBERS CONTINUING THEIR INCIDENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES. THE COMMUNICABLE DISEASE PROGRAM CONTINUES CONTACT TRACING, CASE INVESTIGATIONS AND OUTBREAK INVESTIGATIONS. REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH - CONTINUED WORK WITH THE PERINATAL TASK FORCE PRESCRIPTION DRUG OVERDOSE PREVENTION - HAVE BEEN WORKING REGIONALLY WITH COOS COUNTY TO CONDUCT EDUCATION AND DISTRIBUTE NALOXONE. WORK CONTINUES WITH THE DART TASK FORCE. TABLEAU DATA VISUALIZATION SOFTWARE HAS BEEN PURCHASED TO PROMOTE DATA SHARING WITH PARTNERS. TOBACCO PREVENTION & EDUCATION - WAS PUT ON HOLD DURING THE PANDEMIC BY THE OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY BUT IS STARTING UP AGAIN NOW.
