IMPROVING HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE - THIS BROAD PROGRAM CATEGORY FOCUSES ON IMPROVING HEALTH EQUITY AND REDUCING HEALTH DISPARITIES TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING FOR ALL. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED IN A VARIETY OF WAYS, INCLUDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY COALITIONS, LEARNING INSTITUTES, AND EVALUATION AND DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE. PROGRAMS ALSO FOCUS ON MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS AND RESPITE, REDUCING THE DISPROPORTIONATE CAUSES OF DEATH AMONG AFRICAN AMERICAN CHILDREN, SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY COALITIONS WORKING TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND WORKPLACE WELLNESS.
