MASTER CLASSES WERE HELD WITH LEADING MUSIC PROFESSIONALS AND NEARLY $50,000 IN PRIZE MONEY WAS AWARDED. IN NOVEMBER, JTVA AWARDED ITS 3RD ANNUAL ELIZABETH GREENFIELD AWARD TO A SINGER CHOSEN FROM A FIELD OF 77 APPLICANTS. THIS $5,000 GRANT, NAMED IN HONOR OF A TRAILBLAZING 19TH-CENTURY BLACK AMERICAN SINGER, RECOGNIZES AN OUTSTANDING PRESENT-DAY BLACK SINGER BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FURTHER THEIR CAREER.
