LOS ANGELES CHILDREN'S CHORUS PROVIDES CHORAL MUSIC EDUCATION OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY TO YOUNG PEOPLE WHO REPRESENT RICHLY DIVERSE RACIAL, ECONOMIC, AND CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS.

DURING OUR 2020-21 SEASON (FYE 7/31/21), LOS ANGELES CHILDREN'S CHORUS (LACC) REMAINED FULLY OPERATIONAL AND SERVED MORE THAN 300 CHILDREN AND TEENS THROUGH OUR CORE MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM AND REACHED 20,000+ AUDIENCE MEMBERS THROUGH VIRTUAL PERFORMANCE CONTENT. CHORISTERS PARTICIPATED IN APPROXIMATELY 230 REHEARSALS (CORE PROGRAM), 230 VOCAL COACHING SESSIONS, 23 MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES (LASTING 24 WEEKS EACH). MORE THAN 80 PIECES OF MUSIC WERE LEARNED. LACC'S 2020-21 SEASON WAS GREATLY IMPACTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WHICH NECESSITATED THAT ALL PROGRAMMING FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON TAKE PLACE ONLINE.

CHORISTERS PARTICIPATED IN APPROXIMATELY 250 REHEARSALS (CORE PROGRAM AND FOR SPECIAL COLLABORATIVE PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES), 530 INDIVIDUAL VOCAL COACHING SESSIONS, 23 MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES (LASTING 24 WEEKS EACH), RETREATS FOR 5 CHOIRS, AND 60 FIRST EXPERIENCES CLASSES. MORE THAN 160 PIECES OF MUSIC WERE LEARNED. LACC'S 2020-21 SEASON WAS GREATLY IMPACTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WHICH NECESSITATED THAT ALL PROGRAMMING FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON TAKE PLACE ONLINE.
