ANGEL CITY CHORALE SEEKS TO INSPIRE UNITY AND CELEBRATE DIVERSITY THROUGH THE SHARED EXPERIENCE AND UPLIFTING POWER OF CHORAL MUSIC. ANGEL CITY CHORALE IS COMMITTED TO MUSIAL EXCELLENCE IN BOTH ITS ADULT AND YOUTH CHOIRS AND TO BUILDING COMMUNITY ONE SONG AT A TIME.

THE CHOIR PROVIDED VOCAL MUSIC EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITIES TO PERFORM TO 200 ADULTS. TWO CONCERTS IN JUNE AND TWO IN DECEMBERAT UCLA'S ROYCE HALL REACHED AN AUDIENCE OF JUST OVER 4,000.THESE CONCERTS WERE LIVE STREAMED AND OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE TO NURSING FACILITIES AND RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES TO ACCOMMODATE THOSE UNABLE ATTEND IN PERSON EVENTS. THE CHOIR ALSO PERFORMED AT A FUNDRAISER FOR WEST COAST CARE, AN ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS.
THE ANGEL CITY CHORALE SPONSORS THE BEVERLY PADWAY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP VOCAL COMPETITION FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND FIRST AND SECOND YEAR COLLEGE STUDENTS. TWO WINNERS ARE CHOSEN EACH YEAR IN DECEMBER AND JUNE AND EACH RECEIVES A $500 SCHOLARSHIP TO HELP THEM CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION.
ANGEL CITY YOUTH CHORALE OFFERED VOCAL MUSIC EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES TO 40 ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH. THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM EXPANDED TO SCHOOL SITES AS WELL AS BOYS & GIRLS CLUB SITES. IN ADDITION, A MORE ADVANCED CURRICULUM WAS DEVELOPED FOR STUDENTS FROM ALL SITES TO COME TOGETHER AT ONE LOCATION ON SATURDAYS FOR ADDITIONAL REHEARSAL AND MUSIC EDUCATION TO PREPARE FOR PERFORMANCES WITH THE ADULT CHOIR.
IN JULY 2023, 110 CHOUIR MEMBERS PERFORMED AT THREE LOCATIONS IN ITALY. THE FIRST PERFORMANCE IN TREVISO WAS AS PART OF A FUNDRAISER FOR AN ITALIAN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, LA MUSICA DI ANGELA, THAT SUPPORTS PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS OF CHILDREN WITH SERIOUS ILLNESSES. IN VENICE THE CHOIR PERFORMED AT THE SCUOLA GRANDE DI SAN ROCCO WITH THE JOY SINGERS, A VENETIAN GOSPEL CHOIR. THIS TOUR ENDED WITH A PERFORMANCE IN THE FIESOLE ROMAN ARENA OUTSIDE OF FLORENCE.
