ENABLE FRAIL SENIORS TO MAINTAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AT HOME BY PROVIDING THEM WITH HIGH QUALITY, NUTRITIOUS MEALS THAT ARE COST EFFECTIVE, PREPARED IN WEST CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, DELIVERED BY CARING DRIVERS AND ADMINISTERED BY LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.

MISSION:

IN JULY, 2023, JTVA HELD ITS 10TH ANNUAL VOCAL COMPETITION. FROM 309 APPLICANTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD, THE 14 FINALISTS WERE CHOSEN IN TWO TIERS. MASTER CLASSES WERE HELD WITH LEADING MUSIC PROFESSIONALS AND NEARLY $50,000 IN PRIZE MONEY WAS AWARDED. IN NOVEMBER, JTVA AWARDED ITS 3RD ANNUAL ELIZABETH GREENFIELD AWARD TO A SINGER CHOSEN FROM A FIELD OF 77 APPLICANTS. THIS $5,000 GRANT, NAMED IN HONOR OF A TRAILBLAZING 19TH-CENTURY BLACK AMERICAN SINGER, RECOGNIZES AN OUTSTANDING PRESENT-DAY BLACK SINGER BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FURTHER THEIR CAREER.
