Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

CONTRA COSTA COLLEGE FOUNDATION (CCCF) HAS BEEN WORKING SINCE 1967 TO INCREASE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR OUR STUDENTS. THE FOUNDATION'S WRAP-AROUND FUND SUPPORTS STUDENT SUCCESS AND REAL STUDENT NEEDS. GIFTS MADE TO THIS FUND HELP WITH STUDENT RETENTION AND NEEDS SUCH AS MENTORING, CLINICAL SERVICES, TUTORING, BOOKS, RENT, TRANSPORTATION, AND CHILDCARE. STUDENTS APPLY FOR THESE FUNDS THROUGH AN EMERGENCY FUND APPLICATION AND ARE REQUIRED TO BE ENROLLED AT CCC IN A MINIMUM OF SIX UNITS, BE IN GOOD STANDING (NON-PROBATIONARY STUDENT) AND MUST WRITE A BRIEF NARRATIVE ABOUT THEIR NEEDS. ALSO, MORE THAN $278,000 WAS AVAILABLE VIA SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CCC STUDENTS FOR OUR ACADEMIC YEAR. FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS ALLOW STUDENTS TO CONCENTRATE ON COLLEGE STUDIES AND PARTICIPATE IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, CREATING A WELL-ROUNDED AND SUCCESSFUL GRADUATE. PROGRAMMATIC SUPPORT IS ALSO PROVIDED TO PROGRAMS AND STUDENTS IN SEVERAL WAYS, FOR VARIOUS NEEDS SUCH AS INTERNET ACCESS, INTERNSHIPS, SPECIAL CONFERENCES AND MORE.
