THE WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER OF RACINE IS COMMITTED TO SENSITIVELY SERVING ANY VICTIM OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND/OR ABUSE THROUGH EXPLOITATION.

THE WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER OF RACINE SERVED 269 WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN ITS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EMERGENCY SHELTER THIS YEAR FOR A TOTAL OF APPROXIMATELY 6,976 NIGHTS OF CARE. BASIC NEEDS, INCLUDING FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICATIONS, AND TOILETRIES, WERE SUPPLIED TO ALL. IN ADDITION, 3,970 OTHER WOMEN, MEN AND CHILDREN WERE PROVIDED SAFETY AND HEALING SERVICES WHILE REMAINING IN THE COMMUNITY. THE HAND TO HAND SAFE EXCHANGE AND SUPERVISED VISITATION PROGRAM SERVED 245 FAMILY MEMBERS. OVER 1,500 TEENS RECEIVED TEEN DATING VIOLENCE PREVENTION EDUCATION IN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. ELEVEN FAMILY MEMBERS RESIDED IN A PERMANENT HOUSING PROJECT WITHIN SIX HOUSING UNITS. BASIC CRITERIA FOR WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER SERVICES IS TO BE IN A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR SEXUALLY-ASSAULTIVE SITUATION WITH A NEED FOR SAFETY SERVICES THAT MAY INCLUDE SHELTER.
