TADCA PROMOTED TOURISM THROUGH BROCHURES, NEWSPAPERS, INTERNET WEB SITES, VISITOR GUIDES, MAPS AND PLAT BOOKS. WE RECEIVED OUR PROMOTION INCOME FROM ROOM ASSESSMENTS MANDATED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. OUR PAYMENT OF RENT ALLOWS US SPACE FOR MEETINGS, ACCOUNTING AND DISBURSEMENTS OF MONIES FOR OUR EVENTS AND RECEIVE INQUIRIES ON OUR AREA.
OUR ORGANIZATION PAID FOR A TOURISM DIRECTOR AND AN ASSISTANT. OUR DIRECTOR REPRESENTS US AT VARIOUS TOURISM SHOWS AND EVENTS IN OUR AREA. OUR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AIDS IN HELPING WITH TOURISM WHEN THE DIRECTOR IS OUT OF THE OFFICE AND ALSO HELPS IN ORGANIZAING THE PROMOTIONS.
WE PROMOTED EVENTS IN OUR AREA FOR OUR ANTIQUE CAR CLUB, TRAIL RIDERS, LIONS CLUB, SUMMER MUSIC EVENTS AND FIREWORKS, OUR LOCAL AIRPORT DAY, SNOWSHOE EVENTS, GUS MAKER TOURNAMENT, OUR PINE MOUNTAIN CONTINENTAL CUP SKI EVENT AND OUR LOCAL TOUR DE DICKINSON BIKE EVENT AND OTHERS.
