PREVENT CHILD ABUSE NORTH DAKOTA IS COMMITTED TO A SAFE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, FREE FROM ABUSE AND NEGLECT, FOR ALL CHILDREN.

MATERNAL, INFANT, AND EARLY CHILDHOOD HOME VISITNG PROGRAM - THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE MIECHV HOME VISITING PROGRAM IS TO STREGTHEN AND IMPROVE THE PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITRIES CARRIED OUT UNDER TITLE V AND TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR FAMILIES WHO RESIDE IN AT RISK COMMUNITIES.


NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH GRANT - THE CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION TASK FORCE WORKS TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE STATEWIDE APPROACH TO PREVENT CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE. THIS INCLUDES IMPLEMTATION OF A PILOT PROGRAM IN RICHLAND COUNTY DOING BODY AWARENESS/SAFE TOUCH PROGRAMS IN ALL OF THE SECONG GRADE CLASSES IN RICHLAND COUNTY TO HELP PREVENT CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.


DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES - OTHER - THE STATEWIDE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION GRANT PROMOTES AWARENESS AROUND CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH (APRIL), SAFE HAVE BABY LAWS, HANDLE WITH CARE, ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN'S JUSTICE AND AUTHENTIC VOICES. HANDLE WITH CARE ENABLES LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TO NOTIFY SCHOOL DISTRICTS WHEN THEY ENCOUNTER A CHILD AT A TRAUMATIC SCENE, SO THE SCHOOL STAFF AND MENTAL HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS CAN UTILIZE TRAUMA-SENSITIVE TRAINING. THE ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN'S JUSTICE IS A MILTI-DISCIPLINARY TASH FORCE OF ND PROFESSIONALS AND PEOPLE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF CHILDREN AND WORK TO MAKE THE SYSTEM BETTER FOR CHILDREN. PERIODS OF PURPLE CRYING SUPPORTS CAREGIVERS IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF EARLY INCREASED INFACT CYRING, AND AIMS TO ELIMINATE THE INCIDENCE OF SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME/ABUSIVE HEAD TRAUMA. AUTHENTIC VOICES IS A COALITION THAT ADDRESSES THE PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT AT THE COMMUNITY LEVEL BY AMPLIFYING THE VOICES OF SURVIVORS AND EQUIPPING ADVOCATES WITH TOOLS.
