(DBA ALASKA HEALTH PROJECT SOUTH SUDAN AND ALASKA SUDAN MEDICAL PROJECT) IS AN ALASKA-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES VITAL HUMANITARIAN AID TO A REMOTE, ISOLATED REGION OF SOUTH SUDAN. WITH THE MISSON OF "SAVING LIVES THROUGH HEALTH, WATER, AND AGRICULTURE", AHPSS ADDRESSES URGENT BASIC HEALTH NEEDS IN SOUTH SUDAN. OUR AID CENTERS ON PROVIDING CLEAN DRINKING WATER BY DRILLING BOREHOLES, FIGHTING FOOD INSECURITY WITH AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT BY PROVIDING SEEDS, TOOLS AND TRAINING TO SMALL FAMILY FARMS, AND AIDING HEALTH CARE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF SMALL MEDICAL FACILITIES. IN THIS FISCAL YEAR WE COMPLETED 12 WATER WELLS AND WORKED WITH 465 FARMING FAMILIES DISTRIBUTING SEEDS, SEEDLINGS AND TOOLS FOR AGRICULTURE.
