THE MISSION OF CHOSHEN FARM IS TO IMPACT RURAL ZAMBIA FOR CHRIST THROUGH RELATIONAL ENCOURAGEMENT, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, AND STRENGTHENING OF THE LOCAL CHURCH.

EDUCATION: FIMPULU CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SERVES 400 STUDENTS FROM THE SURROUNDING VILLAGE IN 7 CLASSES FROM PRESCHOOL THROUGH GRADE FOUR. THE SCHOOL EMPLOYS 15 ZAMBIAN TEACHERS. A FEEDING PROGRAM PREPARED AND SERVED BY 7 VILLAGE COOKS PROVIDES A DAILY LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LIBRARY BEGAN IN 2021 AND SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN LATE SPRING 2022.
AGRICULTURE: THE FARM EMPLOYS 13 FULL-TIME VILLAGE FARM WORKERS. THIS YEAR THE FARM RAISED CHICKENS FOR EGGS AND MEAT THAT SERVED OTHER CHOSHEN PROGRAMS. OTHER EFFORTS INCLUDED THE FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM THAT PURCHASED AND DISTRIBUTED DRUMS FOR VILLAGERS TO STORE THEIR CROPS. THE CROP DIVERSIFICATION PROGRAM DISTRIBUTED SOY BEANS AND TRAINING. A SOYA BEAN COOKER WAS CONSTRUCTED TO PRODUCE OIL AND FURTHER ENCOURAGED GROWING INCREASE SOY CROP PRODUCTION. THE FIMPULU LIVESTOCK RESERVE CO-OP ENCOURAGES VILLAGERS TO KEEP GOAT AND PIGS AT THE FARM AND IN TURN, SHARE IN REGULAR PROFITS. KEEPING ANIMALS IN THE RESERVE HELPS PROTECT VILLAGE GARDENS AND GOOD ANIMAL MANAGEMENT CAN BE PRACTICED.
CAMP & CONFERENCE CENTER: A SMALL NUMBER OF CONFERENCES TOOK PLACE AT THE CAMP & CONFERENCE CENTER. THE CENTER EMPLOYS 3 LOCAL CLEANER/COOKS, 2 GROUNDS WORKERS AND A CAMP HOST.
