FORWARD EDGE INTERNATIONAL'S (FEI) PROGRAM IN MANAGUA, NICARAGUA - VILLA ESPERANZA - IS A FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY AIMED AT HELPING CHILDREN OVERCOME THE CYCLE OF POVERTY. THIS PROGRAM CURRENTLY EMPLOYS MORE THAN 50 NICARAGUANS WHO RUN A HOLISTIC RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM FOR AT-RISK GIRLS (INCLUDES MEALS, HOUSING, EDUCATION, COUNSELING, DISCIPLESHIP, AND HEALTHCARE), A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, A BOYS DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES, A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL CHURCHES ALL AROUND MANAGUA, AND A PREGNANCY-PREVENTION TRAINING PROGRAM TAUGHT IN LOCAL SCHOOLS. FEI SENT 19 VOLUNTEERS IN 2020 TO ASSIST THE WORK AT THE VILLA ESPERANZA.
FEI'S PROGRAM IN OAXACA, MEXICO - TRIGO Y MIEL - SERVES MORE THAN 120 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE IMPOVERISHED COLONIA OF ZAACHILA THROUGH REGULAR NUTRITIOUS MEALS, SAFE DRINKING WATER, MEDICAL CHECK-UPS, A TUTORING PROGRAM, AND SPIRITUAL DISCIPLESHIP. FEI ALSO OPERATES A HOME-BUILDING AND BLOCK-MAKING BUSINESS IN OAXACA CALLED OPERATION ENDURING HOMES, THAT BUILDS HOMES FOR THE MATERIALLY POOR, AND PROVIDES JOBS FOR LOCAL FAMILIES. FEI SENT 19 VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST THE WORK AT TRIGO Y MIEL.
FEI'S PROGRAMS IN KENYA & UGANDA SERVE OVER 800 AT-RISK CHILDREN, PROVIDING DAILY MEALS, SAFE WATER, EDUCATION SUPPORT, SPIRITUAL DISCIPLESHIP, MEDICAL CARE, HOME CONSTRUCTION, BUSINESS TRAINING, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
