AGROS SERVED 8,663 PEOPLE IN 90 VILLAGES AND 2 COUNTRIES WITH INTEGRATED PROGRAMS IN FOUR CORE OPPORTUNITY AREAS: LAND OWNERSHIP, MARKET-LED AGRICULTURE, FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT, AND HEALTH & WELL-BEING. ACROSS MULTIPLE VILLAGE COMMUNITIES, TRANSFORMATIVE PROGRESS WAS ACHIEVED INCLUDING ENHANCED AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY, IMPROVED COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE, AND GREATER FOOD SECURITY. ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED A SIGNIFICANT 40% REDUCTION IN CHILDHOOD MALNUTRITION FOR FAMILIES IN GUATEMALA, AND FAMILIES IN NICARAGUA ATTAINED AN AVERAGE NET WORTH OF $23,000 POST LAND REPAYMENT.AGROS HAS RESPONDED TO THE CRITICAL NEEDS OF FAMILIES IN NICARAGUA AND GUATEMALA WITH COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM SERVICES TAILORED TO ADDRESS LOCAL CHALLENGES. THESE HOLISTIC SERVICES ENCOMPASS VITAL COMPONENTS SUCH AS ACCESSIBLE HEALTHCARE THROUGH CLINICS AND HEALTH PROMOTERS, FARMER EDUCATION, TECHNICAL TRAINING, FINANCIAL LITERACY, CREDIT ACCESS, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, AGRIBUSINESS SUPPORT FOR HARVEST PROCESSING AND BUYER RELATIONSHIPS, FOOD SECURITY MEASURES, AND IMPROVED SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING CLEAN WATER SYSTEMS AND HOUSEHOLD SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS.IN GUATEMALA, THE IMPACTFUL HEALTHY START INITIATIVE HAS THRIVED ACROSS FOUR COMMUNITIES GRAPPLING WITH CHRONIC MALNUTRITION AND EXTREME POVERTY. THE STRATEGY TO INCREASE THE KNOWLEDGE OF FAMILIES TO PREVENT CHILDHOOD MALNUTRITION HAS YIELDED REMARKABLE RESULTS, INCLUDING A SIGNIFICANT 40% REDUCTION IN CHRONIC CHILDHOOD MALNUTRITION RATES, IMPROVED HEALTHY BIRTH WEIGHTS, AND CONSISTENT GROWTH MONITORING. EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH THE WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM HAS IGNITED A WAVE OF TRANSFORMATIVE SMALL BUSINESSES, INCLUDING HERITAGE TEXTILE WEAVING, BACKYARD GARDENS, AND TORTILLARIAS.
