LACDC IS A PERFORMANCE COMPANY DEDICATED TO SHOWCASING THE ARTISTRY OF L.A. IN LIVE AND DIGITAL EXPERIENCES. WE CURATE CREATIVE ENVIRONMENTS THAT HARNESS THE POWER OF THE COLLECTIVE PROMOTE A SENSE OF BELONGING AND CHAMPION EXPLORATION AND LEARNING WITHOUT JUDGMENT. IN OUR PROGRAMMING WE SHARE A RESTLESSNESS OF SOUL AND DESIRE FOR CONNECTION WITH OUR COLLABORATORS AND COMMUNITY.

IN 2023 LA CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS TO SUMMER INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM HOSTING 55 STUDENTS NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AND ENTERTAINING AN AUDIENCE OF 75; LAUNCHED OUR FIRST FALL CREATIVE RESIDENCY WITH 14 PARTICIPANTS; LAUNCHED THE UNSEEN HOURS - A SALON SERIES WITH 14 PARTICIPANTS AND AND AUDIENCE OF 122; PROVIDED OPEN CLASSES TO THE PUBLIC WITH 65 PARTICIPANTS AND HOSTED GUEST TEACHERS: MARIO GLEZ SPAIN MYLES LAVAILEE JILLIAN MYERS AND SPENSER THEBERGE; HELD A 10-PARTICIPANT CHOREOGRAPHY RESIDENCY COMMISSIONED BY THE CULTURAL OFFICE OF THE EMBASSY OF SPAIN FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ACCION CULTURAL ESPANOLA AC E AND THE SPAIN-USA FOUNDATION AND ATTENDED BY 40 AUDIENCE MEMBERS; HOSTED A PUBLIC
