SKIP'S MISSION IS TO ENSURE THAT NEW YORK'S MOST CHRONICALLY ILL AND DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS ARE GIVEN ACCESS TO SERVICES THEY NEED TO LIVE AT HOME RATHER THAN IN HOSPITALS AND INSTITUTIONS.

THE HOME & COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES WAIVER (HCBS): PROVIDES SERVICES SUCH AS INTENSIVE BEHAVORIAL SERVICES, COMMUNITY HABILITATION, AND RESPITE. APPROXIMATELY 432 KIDS WERE SERVED DURING FISCAL 2022.
HEALTH HOMES: REUNITES FAMILIES WITH THEIR CHILDREN AGES 21 AND UNDER WHO ARE MEDICALLY FRAGILE BY HELPING PUT IN-HOME CARE IN PLACE. APPROXIMATELY 654 KIDS WERE SERVED DURING FISCAL 2022.
SUPPORT SERVICES: PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND ADVOCACY FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WHO HAVE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
ALL OTHER PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS PROVIDE OTHER SUPPORTING SERVICES TO MEDICALLY COMPLEX INDIVIDUALS AND PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES RESIDING THROUGHOUT NEW YORK STATE.
