TYPICAL LIFE CORPORATION (A PENNSYLVANIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION) (THE AGENCY) IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY. THE AGENCY PROVIDES 33 LICENSED RESIDENTIAL GROUP HOMES SERVING A TOTAL OF 60 INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. OPERATIONS INCLUDE DAILY HOUSEHOLD ACTIVITIES SUCH AS COOKING, CLEANING, LAUNDRY, BATHING, AND RECREATION. IN ADDITION, THE AGENCY PROVIDES ACTIVE TREATMENT SUPPORT IN THE FORM OF TEACHING PLANS, THE ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION, AND THE COORDINATION OF MEDICAL SERVICES. THE AGENCY ALSO OPERATES THREE LICENSED ADULT DAY PROGRAMS THAT FOCUS ON HEALTH, FITNESS, AND PRE- VOCATIONAL SKILLS AND CURRENTLY SERVICES 27 INDIVIDUALS. IN-HOME SUPPORT SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED TO 29 INDIVIDUALS. VOCATIONAL SUPPORTS ARE PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WANT TO FIND AND MAINTAIN COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT. INDIVIDUALS SUPPORTED HERE HAVE FOUND EMPLOYMENT THAT PAYS A MINIMUM WAGE AND ALLOWS THEM TO WORK ALONGSIDE A VARIETY OF OTHER PEOPLE. THIS SUPPORT ALLOWS THE INDIVIDUAL TO DEVELOP A NETWORK OF VALUED SOCIAL SUPPORTS. OUTPATIENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOCUS ON INDIVIDUALS WITH CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS, THAT IS, AN INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY, AUTISM, AND A MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSIS. THE SERVICE PROVIDES PSYCHIATRIC SUPPORT, THERAPY, AND WORKING TOGETHER AS AN INTEGRATED TEAM WITH OTHER SUPPORTS.
