MERAKEY WOODHAVEN SUPPORTS OVER SEVENTY INDIVIDUALS IN AN INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITY IN PHILADELPHIA. FY 2021 SAW THE FOCUS PLACED PRIMARILY ON THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF RESIDENTS DURING THE ONGOING GLOBAL PANDEMIC. THE PROGRAM ESTABLISHED DAILY CALLS WITH STAFF TO ENSURE THAT ALL CDC GUIDELINES WERE IMPLEMENTED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. FAMILIES OF RESIDENTS WERE REGULARLY ENGAGED TO DISCUSS SAFETY AND INFECTION PREVENTION PROTOCOLS THAT HAD BEEN IMPLEMENTED TO KEEP RESIDENTS SAFE. RAPID ADOPTION OF TECHNOLOGY THAT ALLOWED REMOTE PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY EVENTS KEPT THE RESIDENTS ENGAGED AND MUTUALLY SUPPORTED.
