CONSUMER DIRECTED PERSONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - PROVIDES PERSONAL AND HOME CARE SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. CONSUMERS SERVED: 327
ILC & OTHER: ONE OF AIM'S PRIMARY SERVICES IS ITS INDIVIDUAL CONSUMER ADVOCACY. ADVOCATES WORK WITH INDIVIDUAL CONSUMERS TO HELP THEM ACCOMPLISH THEIR INDEPENDENCE GOALS. AIM EMPLOYS TRAINED AND CERTIFIED NAVIGATORS TO HELP NEW YORKERS WITH THE STATE'S NEW HEALTH PLAN MARKETPLACE. INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND SMALL BUSINESSES CAN USE THE MARKETPLACE TO COMPARE INSURANCE OPTIONS, CALCULATE COSTS AND SELECT COVERAGE. AIM'S NAVIGATORS CAN ASSIST WITH THE ENTIRE PROCESS. EDUCATION REGARDING DISABILITY AWARENESS AND AIM SERVICES IS PROVIDED THROUGH WORKSHOPS, PRESENTATIONS, COMMUNITY FAIRS AND SEMINARS.
