THE PRIVATE SCHOOL PROGRAM IS A DYNAMIC SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR MULTIPLE-DISABLED STUDENTS 3 TO 14 YEARS OF AGE. PRESCHOOL SESSIONS HELP PRESCHOOLERS DEVELOP THE PLAY, SOCIAL AND BASIC READINESS SKILLS THAT LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE SUCCESS IN SCHOOL. CLASSES FOR STUDENTS WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN WHO ARE DELAYED IN TWO OR MORE DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS AND INCLUDE EXTRA INDIVIDUALIZED THERAPY AND SPECIAL INSTRUCTION.THE PRIVATE SCHOOL PROGRAM COMBINES INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND INTENSIVE PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL AND SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENTAL AND LEARNING SKILLS OF EACH STUDENT. THE PROGRAM ENROLLS APPROXIMATELY 115 STUDENTS FROM AN ELEVEN COUNTY AREA OF NORTHERN NEW JERSEY AND OPERATES 210 SCHOOL DAYS PER YEAR.
THE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM IS A PROVIDER OF CHOICE FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS NEEDING ON-SITE RELATED SERVICES AND EDUCATIONAL CONSULTATION FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES. PGCS CONTRACTS WITH SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE EVALUATIONS AND DIRECT SERVICES IN SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY, LEARNING AND EDUCATIONAL CONSULTATIONS TO TEACHERS AND CHILD STUDY TEAMS AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR STAFF AND PARENT GROUPS.
