RALPH AJIFU FFA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO UNDERPRIVILEGED OR DISADVANTAGED HAWAII AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION STUDENTS IN THE STATE OF HAWAII. THE ORGANIZATION WILL SUPPORT LOCAL, YOUNG PEOPLE THAT WANT TO BECOME FARMERS IN HAWAII BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL GRANTS OR SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS LACKING SUFFICIENT FINANCIAL MEANS TO SEEK EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, ENROLL IN CURRICULUMS, AND ATTEND EVENTS AFFILIATED WITH THE HAWAII FFA (FUTURE FARMER OF AMERICA) LOCALLY AND WITH THE NATIONAL FFA ACROSS THE USA. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO DEVELOP AND OPERATE LOCAL EVENTS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE LOCAL, YOUNG PEOPLE TO PURSUE A FARMING CAREER IN HAWAII. FUNDAMENTALLY, THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO SPREAD ALOHA (LOVE AND FELLOWSHIP) AND KOKUA (TO HELP OTHERS) IN CULTIVATING AND CARING FOR HAWAIIAN NATURAL RESOURCES.

EACH YEAR, THE HAWAII FFA STATE OFFICE COORDINATES FFA LEADERSHIP TRAINING EVENTS AND DAYS OF SERVICE EVENTS FOR STUDENTS AT APPROXIMATELY 15 SCHOOLS ACROSS HAWAII ("STUDENT EVENTS"). THE ORGANIZATION WILL SUPPORT STUDENT EVENTS BY HELPING PLAN, OPERATE, AND FUND THEM. THE TRAINING PROVIDED AT STUDENT EVENTS FOLLOWS NATIONAL AND STATE FFA CURRICULUM THAT SUPPORTS HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND STANDARDS, INCLUDING ACTION PLANS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, PROGRAMS OF AGRICULTURAL WORK EVENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS AND FOR THE STATE OFFICERS, AND TRAINING FOR COMPETITIVE EVENTS IN PUBLIC SPEAKING, AND THE APPLICATION OF ACADEMIC LEARNING TO THE REAL WORLD. FOR MANY LOCAL STUDENT EVENTS, THE ORGANIZATION WILL PROVIDE A MAJORITY OF THE FUNDING. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO HELP UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH ATTEND STUDENT EVENTS, SUCH AS BY PROVIDING FUNDING TO PAY FOR ATTENDANCE AND TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE STUDENT EVENTS.
