Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES - THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTRACTED WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO PROVIDE IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES. THE UNACCOMPANIED UNDOCUMENTED MINOR (UUM) LEGAL SERVICES PROGRAM PROVIDES LEGAL SERVICES TO YOUTH RELEASED INTO THE CUSTODY OF A SPONSOR BY THE FEDERAL OFFICE OF REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT (ORR). THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES FUNDING TO THE BOARD OF IMMIGRATION APPEALS ACCREDITED LOCAL AGENCIES TO REPRESENT UUMS IN SPECIFIC TYPES OF JUDICIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE IMMIGRATION PROCEEDINGS, INCLUDING ASYLUM, U-VISA, T-VISA, AND SIJS. THE IMMIGRATION SERVICES PROGRAM (ISP) PROVIDES AN ARRAY OF IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES WHICH INCLUDE DACA APPLICATION AND RENEWAL SERVICES, NATURALIZATION APPLICATION SERVICES, OTHER IMMIGRATION REMEDY SERVICES (AFFIRMATIVE LEGAL REMEDIES), AND EDUCATION AND OUTREACH. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022, 14 AGENCIES PARTICIPATED IN THIS PROGRAM.
DISASTER CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (DCMP) - THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTRACTED WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO PROVIDE DISASTER CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO CALIFORNIANS ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PURSUANT TO THE DISASTER RELIEF AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE ACT ADMINISTERED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA). EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS - THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTRACTED WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES TO IMPLEMENT TAILORED EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS STRATEGIES BY PROVIDING PUBLIC OUTREACH, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND RESOURCES TO VULNERABLE AND DIVERSE POPULATIONS. COVID-19 COMMUNITY HEALTH - THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTRACTED WITH THE SIERRA HEALTH FOUNDATION TO DISSEMINATE COVID-19 INFORMATION THROUGH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH FOR THE PURPOSE OF PREVENTING THE SPREAD AND MITIGATING THE RISK OF HARM FROM COVID-19 TO COMMUNITIES DISPROPORTIONATELY IMPACTED BY COVID-19. FUNDING IS PROVIDED TO THE SIERRA HEALTH FOUNDATION FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
NUTRITION OUTREACH AND EDUCATION - THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTRACTED WITH THE US DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO PROVIDE CAL FRESH OUTREACH AND SNAP-ED NUTRITION EDUCATION TO ELIGIBLE CALIFORNIANS. OUTREACH SERVICES ASSIST ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLDS TO ENROLL IN AND MAINTAIN CAL FRESH BENEFITS. SNAP-ED SERVICES HELP TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF QUALIFIED HOUSEHOLDS AND INDIVIDUALS BY PROVIDING THEM WITH ADDITIONAL RESOURCES AND EDUCATION TO MEET THEIR NUTRITIONAL NEEDS.

EVERY YEAR, THESE ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL SERVICES TO MORE THAN 1.5 MILLION CALIFORNIANS WHO NEED HELP. IT IS THE SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT FOR THESE ORGANIZATIONS WITH STATE OFFICIALS, LEGISLATORS, FOUNDATIONS, AND OTHER STATEWIDE AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF CALIFORNIA, INC., APPLIES FOR FUNDING ON BEHALF OF THESE LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND LEADS ADMINISTRATION OF REGIONAL AND STATEWIDE PROGRAMS.
