GIRLVENTURES' MISSION IS TO INSPIRE GIRLS TO LEAD THROUGH OUTDOOR ADVENTURE, INNER DISCOVERY, AND COLLECTIVE ACTION. AS THE ONLY NONPROFIT OF ITS KIND, GIRLVENTURES COMBINES OUTDOOR ADVENTURE WITH SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS AND GENDER EXPANSIVE YOUTH, AGES 11-19.

GIRLS CLIMB ONDURING THE SPRING OF 2021, WE BEGAN OUR GIRLS CLIMB ON PROGRAM AGAIN, OUR WEEKLY AFTER-SCHOOL ROCK CLIMBING MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR YOUTH IN 6TH-9TH GRADE. IN THE FALL OF 2021, GIRLS CLIMB ON TOOK PLACE AT TWO LOCATIONSBRIDGES ROCK GYM IN EL CERRITO AND PLANET GRANITE IN SAN FRANCISCO.
YOUTH ADVISORY BOARDOUR YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD IS OUR SCHOOL YEAR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM COMPOSED OF ALUMNAE OF GIRLVENTURES PROGRAMS. YOUTH WORK TOGETHER TO FOCUS ON COLLECTIVE ACTION INITIATIVES WHILE BUILDING LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
OUR ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS ARE ALL HIGH SCHOOL-AGED ALUMNAE OF GIRLVENTURES PROGRAMS. THIS PROGRESSION OF YOUTH LEADING YOUTH THROUGH OUR LEADERSHIP PROGRESSION MODEL IS A CORNERSTONE OF GIRLVENTURES. TRAINING WAS HELD IN MAY, EVENTS AND CAMPAIGNS, INCLUDING THE GET ACTIVE FOR GIRLS CAMPAIGN.
