PROVIDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN THE PHOENIX METRO AREA.

COMMUNITY HOUSING PARTNERSHIP, INC. (CHP) IS A 501 (C)(3), AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM. LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN PHOENIX CHP OFFERS LOW-INCOME, AND VERY LOW-INCOME, HOUSING TO INCOME QUALIFYING FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS IN ITS 109 UNITS. CHP PARTNERS WITH OTHER LOCAL AGENCIES SUCH AS MESA UNITED WAY (FOSTER 360). TOGETHER WE PROVIDE NEEDED COMMUNITY SERVICES. EXAMPLE, 7 TWO-BEDROOM CHP CONDOMINIUMS WERE FULLY RENOVATED AND NOW HOST A PROGRAM FOR YOUTH AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. PROGRAMMING PROVIDES SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, LIFE-SKILL INSTRUCTION, EDUCATION/ EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE, AND FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES. THE REMAINING 102 UNITS ARE BEING RENOVATED INTO DIGNIFIED, ENERGY- EFFICIENT, AFFORDABLE UNITS. RESIDENTS MAY APPLY FOR HOUSING, REVIEW FAQ'S, AND SEE EXAMPLES OF INTERIOR REMODELS ON THE NEW CHP WEBSITE AT WWW.CHPAZ.ORG. DURING THIS SAME TIME PERIOD, WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF DEDICATED BUSINESS PARTNERS, HOLIDAY MEALS/GIFTS, SOCIAL SERVICE REFERRALS, AND PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS WERE SUPPLIED TO NOT ONLY RESIDENTS OF CHP, BUT TO LOCAL CHRONIC HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS STILL LIVING ON THE STREETS.
