HOUSING SERVICES: THE COALITION PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF CRITICAL HOUSING SERVICES INCLUDING SHELTER PLACEMENT, 24 MONTHS OF SERVICE-ENRICHED TRANSITIONAL AND PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING, CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS, AND WELFARE-TO-WORK PROGRAMS. THE COALITION HAS ALSO ADOPTED AN APPROACH CALLED HOUSING FIRST WHICH IS DESIGNE TO HELP CHRONICALLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS MOVE IMMEDIATELY OFF THE STREETS OR OUT OF THE SHELTER SYSTEM. THE APPROACH INCLUDES CRISIS INTERVENTION, RAPID ACCESS TO HOUSING, FOLLOW-UP CASE MANAGEMENT AND THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT SERVICES TO PREVENT THE RECURRENCE OF HOMELESSNESS.
