TO SECURE AND MAINTAIN FUNDS TO SUPPORT EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FOR RENT, LODGING, UTILITIES, FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, AND MEDICAL SERVICES FOR BOULDER CITY RESIDENTS AND TRAVELERS STRANDED IN BOULDER CITY. ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES LISTED ON PAGE 2 OF FORM 990.

RENT ASSISTANCE: HOUSEHOLDERS RETAINED THEIR HOMES, A SUITABLE LIVING ENVIRONMENT AND FAMILY DIGNITY BY BEING SPARED THE TRAUMA OF EVICTION IN THE BOULDER CITY, NEVADA COMMUNITY. THIS HAS RESULTED IN IMPROVED FAMILY STABILITY, PARTICULARLY IN THE CITY AND IN CLARK COUNTY.
LODGING: FAMILIES STRANDED OR DISPLACED IN BOULDER CITY WERE PROVIDED PRIVATE, SAFE, AND COMFORTABLE TEMPORARY LODGING IN MOTELS TO REST AND CLEAN UP BEFORE MOVING ON TO THEIR DESTINATION OR MORE PERMANENT HOUSING. BOULDER CITY AND CLARK COUNTY BENEFITED BY NOT HAVING THESE PEOPLE ROAMING THE STREETS, ALLEYS, AND PARKS LOOKING FOR SHELTER, A PLACE TO REST, AND PUBLIC RESTROOMS. A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF SUCH CLIENTS MOVE ON TO THEIR DESTINATIONS. SOME SUCCESSFULLY RESETTLE IN CLARK COUNTY OR BOULDER CITY.
UTILITIES: LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLDS THREATENED WITH SHUT-OFF NOTICES WERE SPARED THE TRAUMA, FRUSTRATION, AND INCONVENIENCE OF BEING WITHOUT GAS, ELECTRICITY, AND WATER FOR SPACE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING, LIGHTING, FOOD PREPARATION, HOUSEHOLD SANITATION AND PERSONAL HYGIENE.
TO ASSIST IN TRANSPORTATION NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS STRANDED OR IN NEED OF DELIVERY TO APPOINTMENTS, GROCERY SHOPPING, OR PHARMACY PICK UP. TO ASSIST IN MEDICAL BILL PAYMENT; AUTO REPAIR; AND SUNDRY EXPENSES.
