TO PROVIDE LAKE COUNTY WITH CLASSICAL MUSIC THROUGH THE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA, YOUTH ORCHESTRA, AND PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS.

TO PROVIDE A SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA USING LOCAL MUSICIANS TO PRESENT CONCERTS TO LAKE COUNTY. NO LIVE CONCERTS WERE PRESENTED THIS YEAR, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, BUT THREE VIRTUAL CONCERTS WERE RECORDED AND MADE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS THROUGH THE INTERNET.
PROVIDE A YOUTH AND COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA WITH WEEKLY PRACTICE, CULMINATING IN CONCERTS, BOTH PRESENTED WITH THE SYMPHONY AND AN ANNUAL CONCERT ON IT'S OWN. THIS ORCHESTRA WILL PROVIDE A PLACE FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS TO PLAY THEIR INSTRUMENTS AND PERHAPS JOIN THE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. REHEARSALS WERE SUSPENDED AFTER MARCH 2020 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, BUT THE CONDUCTOR KEPT UP WITH THE STUDENTS AND WAS ABLE TO RESUME REHEARSALS IN FEBURARY 2022. ALSO, LCSA PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS WHO PLAY WITH THE SYMPHONY AND YOUTH ORCHESTRA. TWO SCHOLARSHIPS WERE GRANTED TO STUDENTS WHO HAD SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATED IN THE ORCHESTRA AND GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN JUNE, 2021.
THE ALLEGRO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WAS DONATED TO LCSA BY THE VOGEL FOUNDATION IN 2021 AND HAS BEEN OPERATING UNDER THAT UMBRELLA FOR ALL OF 2021. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE PARTIAL AND FULL SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE TO QUALIFIED TALENTED AND GIFTED MUSIC STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL NEED AND TO DEFRAY THE COSTS OF TUITION AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. ALLEGRO ALSO PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO UNDERSERVED MUSIC STUDENTS AND OCCASIONALLY PROVIDES SPECIAL GRANTS TO QUALIFIED STUDENTS TO ASSIST WITH COLLEGE EXPENSES. SUPPORT IS ALSO PROVIDED TO ENCOURAGE AND ENABLE MUSIC STDUENTS TO VIEW AND ATTEND HIGH QUALITY MUSIC CONCERTS. ALLEGRO SUPPORTS LOCAL COMMUNITY AND YOUTH ORCHESTRA ENSEMBLES AS WELL.
