TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, PRIMARILY THE VIOLIN AND CELLO.ORGANIZING AND SPONSORING THE SCHOENFELD INTERNATIONAL STRING COMPETITION.

Part 3 - Line 4a
ORGANIZATION HELD THE FIRST SCHOENFELD INTERNATIONAL STRING COMPETITION IN HARBIN, CHINA IN JULY 2018. THE EVENT IS TO BE HELD EVERY OTHER YEAR. 2019 WAS A YEARFOR ALL THE PRELIMINARY WORK THAT GOES INTO ORGANIZING THE EVENT WHICH WAS TO OCCURIN 2020. DUE TO COVID-19 THE EVENT HAD TO BE CANCELLED. PLANS ARE NOW UNDERWAYTO PREPARE FOR THE COMPETION TO RESUME IN 2023, AS CHINA IS STILL UNDER COVI RESTRICTIONS. THE SOCIETY DID RECEIVE THE FIRST OF THREE PAYMENTS FOR THIS COMPETITION. IN ADDTION A NEW PROGRAM BEGAN IN 2021 FOR ON LINE TESTING OF MUSICIANS KNOWN AS THE SME PROJECT. THE SOCIETY IS CONTINUING TO IMPLEMETE THAT PROGRAM.
