COLETTE'S CHILDREN'S HOME EXISTS TO HEAL HOMELESSNESS FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO ARE HOMELESS WITH NOWHERE TO TURN.

COLETTE'S CHILDREN'S HOME PROVIDES HOUSING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO HOMELESS WOMEN AND CHILDREN WITH NOWHERE TO TURN. WE WORK TO REMOVE THE BARRIERS THAT CAUSE DISPLACEMENT AND PROVIDE THE MEANS FOR TRANSITION FROM HOMELESSNESS TO STABLE AND PERMANENT HOUSING. THE OVERARCHING GOALS FOR CLIENTS ARE TO ACHIEVE SOBRIETY, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH, EMPLOYMENT, STRENGTHENED SUPPORT SYSTEMS, AND STABLE PERMANENT HOUSING. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, THE AGENCY RECEIVED 3,168 REQUESTS FOR HOUSING AND SERVICES, AND WAS ABLE TO ASSIST 357 HOMELESS WOMEN AND CHILDREN BY PROVIDING 45,104 SHELTER BED NIGHTS AND DISTRIBUTING 120,000 POUNDS OF FOOD TO THOSE IN NEED. OF THOSE WHO LEFT THE PROGRAM DURING THE YEAR, 109 WOMEN AND CHILDREN TRANSITIONED TO PERMANENT HOUSING. WE ALSO HELPED REUNIFY 40 CHILDREN WITH 23 MOTHERS.
