CHILD CARE - THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A FEE-BASED PRESCHOOL, AFTER-SCHOOL, AND FULL-DAY CARE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN 2.5 TO 12 YEARS OLD. EACH MONTH THE CHILDREN OF OVER 100 FAMILIES BENFIT FROM THE CORE VALUE OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PHYSICAL HEALTH.


BRIGHT FUTURES - THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO FAMILIES WHO ARE EXPECTING OR HAVE CHILDREN 5 YEARS OLD AND YOUNGER. UTILIZING THE EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAM POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM, (TRIPLE P), PARENTS LEARN STRATEGIES THAT HELP THEM MANAGE CHALLENGING CHILDHOOD BEHAVIORS. ADDITIONALLY, THE PROGRAM CONDUCTS WEEKLY PARENT-CHILD ACTIVITIES AND SUPPORTS ENGLISH LEARNING OF SPANISH SPEAKING FAMILIES BY PLACING ROSETTA STONE EQUIPPED COMPUTERS IN THEIR HOMES. BRIGHT FUTURES BENEFITS OVER 300 (ENGLISH AND SPANISH SPEAKING) PARENTS AND CHILDREN EACH YEAR AND IS FUNDED BY A GRANT FROM FIRST 5 SHASTA. BAILEY PARK - THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS THE EQUIPMENT AND LANDSCAPING OF A COMMUNITY PARK IN BURNEY, CALIFORNIA. THE PARK IS SITUATED ON LAND THAT THE ORGANIZATION LEASES, AT NO COST, FROM A LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE PARK WAS DESIGNED BY LOCAL RESIDENTS AND CONSTRUCTED WITH FUNDS RAISED BY THE ORGANIZATION. BAILEY PARK IS CONTINUOUSLY IN USE BY LOCAL RESIDENTS DURING THE SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL. CONTRIBUTIONS AND VOLUNTEERS MAINTAIN THE PARK.


MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES - THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT AND CONCRETE SUPPORTS TO ADULTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLLENGES WHO ARE AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS, HOSPITALIZATION OR INCARCERATION. THESE SERVICES ARE A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT OF HILL COUNTRY HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER AND SHASTA COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES


THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS JOB SKILLS TRAINING CLASSES, INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT IN FINDING AND RETAINING EMPLOYMENT, AND COURSES THAT BUILD COMPETENCIES THAT LEAD TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. THE PROGRAM, BENEFITING MORE THAN 500 ADULTS EACH YEAR, IS FUNDED BY SHASTA COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AND THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF RIVERSIDE AND SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES.
