IAP FOUNDED A CHILDREN'S HOME FOR ORPHAN IN SAWLA, GHANA AND RAISES MONEY AS THE ORPHANAGE'S PRIMARY FUNDING SOURCE. THIS IS THE FIRST ESTABLISHMENT OF ITS KIND IN THE REGION. 50 ORPHANS AGE 5 TO 16 ARE BEING GIVEN A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE HOME AND MOST ARE ATTENDING SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE STAFF CONSISTS OF DORM MOTHERS, COOKS, SECURITY GUARDS AND 2 DIRECTORS. IN ADDITION, FUNDS HAVE BEEN RAISED FOR TWO WATER WELLS IN NEARBY VILLAGES.
IAP RAISES FUNDS TO PARTNER WITH LA ESCUELA INTEGRADA NINOS TRABAJADORES, A GUATEMALAN ORGANIZATION WHICH OPERATES A SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF ANTIGUA. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES EDUCATION, FOOD SECURITY, SPIRITUAL DIRECTION AND SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY AND BRING A MESSAGE OF HOPE TO THOSE DESPERATELY IN NEED.
IAP RAISES MONEY TO ASSIST THE ROBLEALTO CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION IN SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA CARE FOR STREET CHILDREN. ROBLEALTO CURRENTLY SERVES OVER 1,000 CHILDREN THROUGH THREE DAY CARE CENTERS, A TEMPORARY SHELTER WITH A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, AND A TEEN PROGRAM. ROBLEALTO'S MINISTRY IS HIGHLY RESPECTED BY THE COSTA RICAN GOVERNMENT AND IS SEEN AS THE MODEL FOR TREATMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN POVERTY. ROBLEALTO OWNS AND OPERATES AGRIBUSINESS PROJECTS TO SUPPORT IT'S CHILDREN'S MINISTRY. THE BUSINESSES PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE CHILDREN AND ROBLEALTO HAS BECOME THE LARGEST PRODUCER OF POULTRY LAYER GENETICS IN THE COUNTRY, HATCHING OVER TEN MILLION CHICKS A YEAR FOR SALE. ROBEALTO SUPPLIES NEARLY 80% OF THE COSTA RICAN BABY CHICK MARKET,PROFITS PROVIDING DIRECT FUNDING FOR THE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY.
